Volume 2 of the original Hawley's Japanese Swordsmiths is no longer available!
We no longer have volume two of Hawley's original Japanese Swordsmiths.
For future reference, it does not contain the main listing of smiths, but several thousand smiths are still referenced, so it is a handy source of names and name characters, but it also contains all the tables and charts that Hawley included in the two later editions of Japanese Swordsmiths. And it is in a small, portable, useful size. I own the big brown Hawley and the little blue volume 2 Hawley, and I use the blue Hawley much more often. Volume 1 of the blue Hawley is almost impossibe to come by. I am not sure why. Volume 2 is an underappreciated little gem of a reference work.
